Painting is so much fun!
I am horrible at keeping up with my blog! I'm trying to do better, so here goes. Life is busy as usual at the Farmer household. Ashley has been keeping busy with floors and real estate. He has been going out of town a lot this winter, so it has been hard not having him around, but we are blessed to have work in this economy!
I have been keeping busy with the kids and with my job. I love working at a b&b. It gives me some alone time, and a little extra cash :)
Hailey is a little smarty pants. She has so much personality, and is so bright. She loves to sing and dance and read books. She is very strong willed and stubborn (maybe she's a bit like her mom). You can't pressure her into doing anything. For example, she refuses to use the potty. She's done it in the past, but decided she didn't like it, and it's just easier to go in her diaper. We have literally tried EVERYTHING. So, I'm going to quit bugging her and let her do it when she's ready. Do I have any other choice? I'm sure we'll laugh about this when she gets older, but right now I feel like I'm going to be the only mom sending her kid to kindergarten in diapers!
Chase is our little joy. He has been such a good baby since day one. He brings so much light into our home and to our family. He loves to watch his sister do anything, especially sing and dance. The two of them love each other and have so much fun together. Chase will be one next month, and I can't believe how fast time flies. 2009 went by so fast!
We have been doing some painting in our living room downstairs, so I will be posting more pictures as the process progresses. For now, we're all happy, healthy, and loving life!

It's nice to see what you're up to! I totally understand the potty thing! We are still working on that too.
Hailey looks absolutely thrilled in the picture where she is painting with Ashley. :)
And I just love that massive little thigh on Chase in the picture where he is on Ashley's stomach!
I'm afraid for potty training when the time comes. I have a really good friend who had the hardest time with her first, very strong-willed, daughter. She tried just about everything too.
She finally had a "Bye, bye baby diaper party." She made a cake and they had a "funeral" for all of her diapers and sang a song that she made up (it goes like this "Bye, bye baby diaper PARTY! Bye, bye baby diaper PARTY! Yay! Yay! Allie! Yay! Yay! Sami!").
She wasn't miraculously potty trained after that, but it did get better and it was the real potty training starting point.
I'm scared!
